art - adults - community
Martin J. Rosen, a resident of Pound Ridge for 25 years will exhibit his photography collection at the Pound Ridge Library, consisting of a unique component, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. The balance of the exhibit consists of his outdoor nature collection, which portrays scenes from North America, Europe and the Caribbean.
Due to an aborted trip to Africa, the default consisted of an excursion to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. This unique venue, the subject of which was Darwin’s
masterpiece on evolution, reveals a habitat for unusual species, fauna and
vegetation. Its essence captured his interest and imagination and is presented here for your enjoyment.
The recipient of the Blue Ribbon Award sponsored by National Geographic, Mr.
Rosen has previously exhibited his photography in Great Barrington, New Canaan,
Bedford and New York City. His passion emanates from seminars, work groups and his extensive travels to some of Nature’s most beautiful venues.
Martin maintains a law practice in White Plains; is an avid tennis player; resides
here in Pound Ridge with his wife, Lianne, a producer of live events for the United
Nations, and has two sons and six grandchildren.
The Opening Reception will take place on October 6, 2018 between 3:00 and
5:00pm. Refreshments will be served. The Exhibit will run for six weeks.
